This guide shows how to route your email through SpamHero by updating your MX records in DreamHost.

Once complete, all incoming email will be filtered by SpamHero before reaching your mailbox.

⚠️ Before You Start

• Your DNS must be managed at DreamHost for this to work
• You should replace all existing MX records

Setup Instructions

1. Log into your DreamHost panel
   • Navigate to: Manage Domains → DNS
   • Locate your domain and click Edit DNS
2. Scroll to the Custom MX Records section
3. Enter one MX Record in each input box. List the priority number first (10, 20, 30 or 40), followed by a space and then the the actual MX host name.

4. Enable DreamHost mail handling
   • Check the box: I will still check my email at DreamHost
5. Save your changes
   • Click the Change this domain to use custom MX records now button

Changes usually take effect within a few minutes, but may take up to 24 hours in some cases.
